Recently found a really good deal on a vintage MXR flanger, described as fully functional.
Got it and there was no actual flange happening (probably the Reticon chip was dead).
The seller tells me, “you might have been expecting a modern sound, but vintage flangers were very subtle”.

And he swore he tested it...at his job at Sam Ash.
