Telecaster + (insert Fuzz here) + Super Reverb = Pyschobilly
I was wondering which would be the most appropriate D*A*M fuzz for getting a decent vintage Psychobilly/Surf/Garage tone?
I'm a bit of a fuzz virgin, so something that is pretty intuitive, isn't too difficult to dial in a useable tone with and won't bite my head off if I play if I hit more then 3 strings at once. Though still gets that 60s and 70s grinding tone. Think the Cramps, Stooges, Ventures and Arrows.
Thanks

Thanks
Although I think the Cramps [EDIT: Virgin Prunes] is more FZ-1 (in fact I think the Cramps is the FZ-1, the one Keith played on Satisfaction), The venture and the Arrows are both Fuzzrites, and although Ron Asheton's pictured with a Vox 2-trannie TB (so, a 1966), there's a lot of Fuzzrite-sounding stuff on the early Stooges.
Get on the list for a Fuzzrong.
