Yes. Don't rely on a visual setting. The trimmer in the Rooster is to set the bias on the transistor to a particular voltage (6.1-6.66V) It shouldn't need messing with really unless the pedal starts to sound like its farting out.Sickle wrote:That setting could be highly dependent on the tranny used. I don't know if the pot has been re-set, because I bought it used (I tried to buy new, but I couldn't).
I don't notice a farting sound, but I wanted to be sure that it is set at its best. Is it easy to check that voltage using a multimeter?

With a new Battery you should see said voltages when measuring from the Transistor's collector to ground (Which in this case would correspond to the positive Battery pad). The reading will be negative.Luca wrote:Is it easy to check that voltage using a multimeter?
