the fuzz pot is dated 11-4. I would have guessed it's from 1965, but who knows...

Just seems weird that it would predate MKI's. Pep Fuzz's are mentioned in Beat Instrumentals, I haven't looked at those for awhile, but I'm pretty sure it's after the big MKI Tone Bender announcment in September 1965.

Great job Jimmy Jerms, I can't tell the difference between the two.
And it's a cool sounding circuit. Nice texture happening there.
What gets me is all the tweaking,

That sure is possible. With the pot codes we can only be sure that it hasn't been made before 11-4.
Both pedals are based on the earlier Maestro FZ-1, so anything is possible.

you cant see in the other picture, but the other pot has a 1-5 pot code under the solder blob......
