Black -n- Gold "Last in the West" MKII OC81M 1 of 1
Darkness descends upon us ...
'Fleshhead tuned' with standard MKII tuning available below 12:00 on level pot.
Louder and 'toothier' than any or my other MKIIs.

Re: Re:
Yes that is my understanding. Flesher than standard MKIIs but not as fleshy as the Flesh-Head.Funky Druid wrote:It's MKII for sure, but "Fleshhead tuned"mjkk wrote:Looks to be a MKII? Are you sure it is a flesh head

Re: Black -n- Gold "Last in the West" MKII OC81M 1 of 1
Those last B&G Mk II's were a bit of a conundrum - I scored ser. no 333 - also built on 19.04.10 from the Downstroke store - gave a good figure for it as I also thought it was the "Last in the West" as opposed to Japanese sold pedals. Mine has the same metal can Mullard OC84's coded 2S7 - no need to put up a pic as its the same as above - I had thought it the last one too :) and had a note from the sale that it was no. 9 from a run of 9 but was mainly attracted to the number being a half of the 666! I had some chat with Jon about it at the time as I saw another with a later number and have a vague recollection that the actual batch had gotten muddled up regarding the numbering - Fabulous mk2 though!!!
I missed out on the "picture" Flesh heads, cannot think why but maybe because I do have ser. no. 001 from the original run dated 04.02.08 that Dave built for me - a BC182L and a 2N3904 - I have a decent selection of the different Meathead versions as I consider them to be wonderful across their entire range but that early Fleshie is really something else - simply in a league of it's own!!! - a truly impressive pedal. One day I hope to try out one of the later ones - it will make an interesting comparison.. Though with an extra transistor I would expect it to be closer to a TB than the '08 "Flesh" 2 knobbed meatheads even if its voicing was similar
