In quick need of fuzz, but have severely limited funds available...

So, budget fuzzes, that sound good, ace, or broken (in a good way)!?

Which one's are worth bothering to buy?

Danelectro Cool Cat Fuzz
Ibanez FZ-7
Behringer Ultra Fuzz

etc etc...

Thus far, the Ibanez FZ-7 sounds appealing, really like what the damage switch can do for that broken fuzz sound.

I think the Boss FZ-2 is pretty cool, if you can find it on the cheaper side of what it goes for. $100-$120 is a bit high IMO for it but the tone controls make it pretty cool. The boost is evil. LOL.

I had the Danelectro French toast a long time ago. Based on a Foxx I think?! The fuzz was pretty good but didn't hold up in a band.
I currently have the tone city Fuxx fuzz I think it is in my board. Purely for the Octavia effect. I actually preferred it to my Hendrix Octavia. I know I must have bad ears lol. Still it's s take on the full tone. The fuzz actually is pretty good. Real thick. Not as dense as a muff more mk1 without the gating. ( sounds nowhere near the same class just a ball park comparison ).
Visual sounds Angry fuzz too can be picked up cheap on the used market. Pretty good also!

Never played one in person but every demo I've seen of the EHX Satisfaction fuzz sounds kinda wrong but ina very right way, if you know what I mean. Have played and liked a hell of a lot (and will buy one day): the ZVEX Fuzzolo: http://www.zvex.com/products/fuzzolo
Two fuzzy flavours on the Fuzzolo, both really good.

The Swolle Pickle is based on a Big Muff but you can adjust it to sound like a Fuzzrite.
So it has many many tones.

I have been using it to thicken my drums and bass tone with my Digitech Trio.
That makes it sound like a Jazzclub 1969 in New York...
And without the PIckle the Trio sounds like the fucking 1980s... worst time for music.
