I didn't think it was too dark. Liked it with the knob cranked all the way up best. Thanks for sharing your creation!

I'm sure your ears are fine. You're in the room with the speaker as well so different sounds than on my tiny computer speakers. I do hear how the lows get somewhat compressed which might make it seem darker? Might be good as a bass fuzz too :badlove:

new vids - this is the prototype fucked up FZ-1A (codename FZ-X :wink2: - not decided what to call it yet!) - three output cap options = 1st is stock value 0.0033, then 0.0066, then 0.01..

[edit - i re-did this one, see post below]

and a rough sketch for the above, on the 0.01 output cap

Ok - new pedals are here, and they're fierce:

Developing and building these started me thinking about alternate histories, parallel universes and 'what ifs'. Bear with me here...

The two pedals are related in that they're both have their roots in 1965, but different 1965s. The Bad Motorscooter shares some Gary Hurst DNA, but it's as if it was based on the FZ-1A, not the FZ-1. Conversely the FZ-X was inspired by what the FZ-1A could have been if Gibson designed as competition for the Tone Bender rather than a cash-in on the success of Satisfaction? Maybe in that version of history the FZ-1 riff was replaced by a horn part, and Heartful Of Soul got to the US No.1 slot....

Anyway - 2N2614s in the FZ-X, 2G381s in the Bad Motorscooter - limited numbers of both

Prices are £290 for the Bad Motorscooter, £190 for the FZ-X - can reduce these if you pay direct rather than through Reverb.

One Bad Motorscooter sold! This is the one heard in the demo (Good Fuzzy Sounds 040).
041 sounds very similar but I will re-record the demo just so people know exactly what they're getting! There are 4 boards made up and 4 Fuzzcases wedges (I don't think I'll use these again unless they are specifically requested). Waiting for delivery of Cliff jacks to finish up 042 and 043.

I'm offering £20 off for DAM people on the Motorscooter and £15 off for the FZ-X, plus actual shipping
