White Sands Electric Company

Anybody seen these before? I just picked them up today. I know nothing about them. The guy who sold them to me claims that they used to belong to Jake E. Lee. The Crazy Grape fuzz sounded massive through a Fender Deluxe Reverb. Like a super charged Fuzzrite.

Wow, apparently that was the original name of Vintage Technology, but the Orange Sunshine is the only one I've seen before.

Cool pedals! Never seen the Fizz Fuzz or Crazy Grape. Here is the data dump for the Vintage Technology pedals. The Orange Sunshine is in there somewhere. I, too, would love to see some shots of the innards, especially the Fizz Fuzz & Crazy Grape!

Sound clip with Orange Sunshine:
http://designarbiter.tripod.com/orange.html

Traci Sands - a former sound engineer for Fender, then Music man - makes these pedals down in CA (Orange County?).
Except for an additional tone knob, the Banana Fuzz is the same as the Orange Sunshine, according to:

Edit: Yes, Analogguru wrote 9th Feb 2010:
The Vintage Technology - Orange Sunshine is a 1:1 clone of the Vox V816 Distortion Booster:

The Vintage Technology - Banana appears to be nearly identical (can´t determine the value of the orange input capacitor)
with an added volume control as can be found in the Vox V8161:

And the Vintage Technology - Toad is a 1:1 clone of the Vox V8162:

Got the Orange Sunshine and Crazy Grape working perfectly. The Fizz Fuzz is a mess.
Looks like someone tried to "fix" it. Disconnected wires, way too much solder all over the place. I'll get some pictures up soon and see if any of you folks can offer some help.

I bought the orange sunshine and another of his pedals that I think was called a "Green Toad" off this board. Sold it to a touring member of this board. After the deal had gone down my sun played the sunshine and wanted it ....... I felt like crappolla but a deal is a deal. I would describe the sunshine as a treble boost if I recall, really brightened things up.

Good score/find.
