Pigeon MK1 DOA help
Found a used Pigeon MK1 on the interwebs for a fair price and pulled the trigger. Arrived 90 min ago, and...
NOTHING
Signal when bypassed, new batts, just dead when engaged. Hate to send it back without even knowing what it sounds like. Footswitch? I have a meter, just not sure how to go about checking it or anything else for continuity.

Re: Pigeon MK1 DOA help
Might be some bare wires touching another conductor, as Jim suggested. I had this happen before in a similar Mk1 on arrival too

Thanks for the replies, everyone. I’ll take a closer look today and see if any of those suggestions are the case.

Give the footswitch a few quick on and off hits and also see if it engages when switching it on and off slowly.
A friendly talking to may also help.
They sound ace though, mean and racous!

Ok, I gave it a good look this morning, and this is what I found...
The circled area’s solder joint has broken, but the good news is when I touched them together it came alive!
The problem now is that I have someone flow a new joint as I’ve never done it. It’s just hanging in of its own accord.
Philip is correct. This is hands-down the best fuzz I’ve played so far. I can’t believe how epic it is.

Where are you based? this would be a v quick job for someone with a soldering iron. I'm in E London for instance. If you were nearby I could do it.

Handmade, high-impact, great-looking radical queer germanium fuzz. A different approach to 1960s-inspired fuzz pedals, no clones, check them out at https://goodfuzzysounds.com or on YouTube https://tinyurl.com/GFS-YT

NW Florida. There is a local tech who I might trust, but he can be a bit hot and cold.
