I have a 2019 pelham sg special, it looks great but a tinted clear would tie it together

Yep, but a little less green than that one. It will gradually go more green over time so I don’t want to over tint it. I briefly considered putting the Maestro from my Epi Olympic on but don’t want to change the feel too much.fernieite wrote: ↑Sat Jun 13, 2020 8:38 pm Kinda like this? (minus the vibrola)

Ooh sparkle green will be snazzy. I almost went for Inverness green but it can look a tad murky sometimes.squarewave wrote: ↑Sun Jun 14, 2020 9:38 am Sweet dude. Thinking of doing a sparkle green on my jnr build. That blue will look great
The top coat will yellow over time. Or leave it in full sun for a month and blow cigarette smoke on it every day.

Roughly shaped and cut brass nut. I’ll fine tune it once it’s fully installed.

Hey Jim,
Here's a 65 for reference. Seems to be more blue than the other one I linked.

^Yeah that one’s not yellowed much.
Spraying began today! A couple of bits of dust to sand off an an annoying glob of lacquer on the front. I’ll sand tomorrow and shoot 1 final colour coat from a fair distance to let the metallic flakes stand up on the finish. I really want it to pop.

Argh!!!! Why would anyone do that? Luckily mine has been very carefully sanded on its previous refinish and I’ve been super careful with stripping too.fernieite wrote: ↑Thu Jun 25, 2020 12:15 pm Man, it's looking great!

Really pissed off with that lacquer blob Just behind the bridge though. Everything was perfect until the final pass on the front and I accidentally let the tip of my glove hang over the nozzle. I’ve had to sand back almost to the sealer to get it out and buy another can of blue lacquer. Metallic Nitro is fucking unforgiving!
