Yum! Golden mist was on my shortlist. It’s funny how Gibson called their metallic colours Poly. It confuses a lot of people.

Everything was perfect until the final pass on the front and I accidentally let the tip of my glove hang over the nozzle. I’ve had to sand back almost to the sealer to get it out and buy another can of blue lacquer. Metallic Nitro is fucking unforgiving!
Worth doing right, Jim! Don't forget, you're doing God's work. :badteeth:

Indeed. New nitro is arriving today but the weather is going to be really humid for at least the next few days. I’ll just have to be patient.

Weather was actually good for spraying today. Final colour coats and clear tack coat on. All perfect this time! Fingers crossed I can get spraying finished tomorrow.

Looking good; except naked and upside down juniors always look weird! Kinda like a strange big-headed guy (It's the size of a planetoid and it has it's own weather system) with a sad face.

The colour is surprisingly pale before clear coat. I’m having a slight issue with clear coating because my second can came fitted with a nozzle that doesn’t fan out the spray. Very nearly had a run on the 1st pass! Lacquer was sagging But I saved it by flipping the guitar upside-down and misting to get it to flow back.

I’d hoped to finish spraying today as the weather will be really wet for a couple of days now. Best not to rush things. I’ll let it dry off over night and see if I need to sand back the area. Hopefully not.
