Dearmond 1800 wah/vol tb mod help
I just got a Dearmond 1800 wah/vol, it sounds absolutely awesome with a long sweep and killer
feel, BUT the vol. part is crap and doesn't work well with fuzz or other pedals.
So i just thought i'd ask if anyone could help me figure out how to make it true bypass and scrap the vol.pedal part ...
Maybe draw a very simple diagram for dummies on a piece of paper ?
(Or i will just buy a boss loop and be done with it !;))
Cheers

Get a loop. I did this for my Colorsound wah+fuzz+swell because the swell sucks top end and volume. It’s easier than trying to mod the pedal.
It's like an orange on a toothpick

If it's the same as the Duovox units you should be able to truebypass it with a DPDT footswitch like this:
But before you cut any wires you may want to post some photos and tell me to double-check!

Re: Dearmond 1800 wah/vol tb mod help
I think it's the same pedal - definitely same enclosure and, by the look of it, the same board. Heavily based on (possibly the same as?) a Maestro Boomerang 2. Would that also work on a Boomerang 2, Brook?
I'll let Spook be the guinea pig, but I'd be tempted to do my DeArmond 1800 and Boomers as well if all it took was to rewire the switch.

OK, different PCB layout to the one I have, give me a little time to reverse engineer it so I don't post a tutorial on how to break a Dearmond 1800
