Can anyone ID this transistor?

Post by 59junior »

Can anyone help me ID this transistor? A friend of mine sent me this photo from an old Sun Face and I'm wondering if these are original to the pedal. I don't have any more photos at the moment but I can ask him for more. I did some googling and nothing came up... Thanks for the help!

Look European, maybe Siemens and Halske?

Ah, that S-H is definitely their logo based on a google search. That’s really helpful.

i've seen a page where he talks about the different transistors he's used - might be mentioned there?

What transistor stamp is on the outside of the enclosure? Or sharpied on the inside backplate?

Thanks for the help! I’m going to have to get some more photos from the guy who owns it. I looked on that Analogman site and didn’t see any reference to this transistor.

This

Also looks like there are gain numbers written on the top of the transistor - I have found this on many of the surfaces I bought through the years

Siemens for sure. Maybe AC151s like the ones used in Schallers? Mike is easy to reach on Instagram maybe you can try there.
