Les Paul build - complete
Hey mates, thought I’d document my latest build - a good old Les Paul. It’s pretty much a stock standard build aside from a few weight relief routes - I want it to feel like a LP when you pick it up but, not let my poor old back know about it.
I picked up the maple cap from northridge timber in Portland, tone tapped a stack of ebony fret board blanks of the brightest sounding and ditto to the quatersawn mahogany for the neck.
Anyhoo here are a few pics, I’ll let them do the taking. A case of CV19 in my household has put the brakes on the build for now. This is how it’s going…

Mate, you are getting too good at this guitar building caper.
Hope the 'rona recovery is speedy. Went through my house (kid, me, other kid and finally wife) in the space of three weeks. Wasn't a lot of fun but we're all doing okay now.

Thanks for the kind words gents.
The Covid is a funny thing. Daughter test neg while she was bedridden for a few days then, feeling better, tested positive on a RAT test. Rest of us went and did PCR, I was certain I had it (headache & fever) but rest of the fam is all clear.
