I have a bunch more photos but haven't checked through all the parts values yet. Pretty sure it's a little different.Laundromat wrote: ↑Thu Mar 21, 2019 7:46 pm Whoa, haven't seen one like that! Did you take notes if the parts values are same as on the silicon version?

Bass boost was same price as treble boost!
Mad. Would have thought there would have been more market for the TB boost.

Re: What is on your workbench Tinkerers?
If it performs as it should, yes, it will be available at Dead End FX. It will still be some time before it happens though. I still need to finish this build, possible/probable debugging and build doc writing as well. As for the diode boards for the Phaser section, we had a couple of boards made for the validation, and Phil populated them by hand. The DEFX board set will have these already populated. It'll be more expensive, but way less of a PITA for the builder.
Yeah, it's a bit more.... more.
The kit consists of two main boards that carry the fuzz, octave, ringmod, phaser and vibrato circuits. The diode boards piggyback on top of those. There's a fifth preamp board that is designed to fit into a Dunlop wah shell. Of course, this needs two wah shells, one for the phaser side, the other for the fuzz side. The main boards are designed to fit into a Hammond 1550J. A hefty sized enclosure for sure, but way smaller than the original units.
The other challenge is to define suitable replacement parts for some of the obsolete parts found in the original units. The dual JFET and super matched transistor packages are no longer available, but hopefully I'll be able to come up with suitable workalikes for this application.
One thing for sure.... it's not a cheap build from a DIY aspect, but waaaay cheaper than an original unit.
