Shitty old Mustang is the donor for a pickup tester guitar. Cardboard body made it very easy to open up that swimming pool route. Surprisingly good neck on this thing though.

This old Jedson has had 3 different bridges over the years. None of them in the right place!
Customer wanted TOM to replace the Jazzmaster bridge that had been placed much too close to the tailpiece. It will now intonate properly for the first time in the 40+ years it has existed.

Pickup test guitar in action.
Bulldog clips arrive tomorrow to allow fast wiring changes. I’ll rig up various pots and caps that I can just clip in place.

Another crusty Jedson. Total refret done and I’m in the process of putting a vintage gold foil in bridge position. Miraculously, the bridge is actually perfectly positioned.
This one will probably be a keeper.

A local friend is following his Dad into guitar building and dropped a few off to me for final tweaking, fret levelling and setup. I’ll hopefully be working with him on a regular basis.

Some crazy aluminium bodied oddballs! Check out longfellowguitars.com

60s goldfoil that was an acoustic sound hole pickup. Had vol, tone controls and a 1/8 inch output socket. Going to install on a solid body so I removed the controls and added longer wires.
Super simple construction. Just an iron magnet and copper coils wrapped in electrical tape. Steel baseplate and what appears to be a copper or brass cover makes it a punchy little bastard at 6.17 kOhms.
