just curious as to how well the drag'n'fly cleans up with the guitars volume?

I use the volume pot on my EJ strat to control the gain on my Ge Sunface, it's something
that i find integral to the way i play and i have a fuzz (sunface or my red rooster) 98% of the time, so i'm wondering if the DNF has the same sort of clean up as the NTK sunfaces?

I have one on loan, cleans up very well, there will be a sound clip demonstrating just how well soon. The Fly I haz even cleans up from gentle touch response, the clip demonstrates that too.

my Analogman NKT? fuzzface is low gained fuzz. it cleans up well, since it is a mild (almost boring) fuzz to begin with.
MY Drag'n'F, half silicon and half Germ, has higher gain, much more characteristc. little warmer even attack (fuzz) and filter rolled back a little; my guess is that is the silicon side working. it's much better when you wanna fuzz out.

compairing my AM sunface to my D'N'F, . . . AM cleans up better.
then again, Drag'n'F is not even in the same league with analogman's sunface. it's got the thickness of Si. and the black sheep wooliness of Ge. at the top end. besides.. my Drg'N'F cleans up really really good when turned OFF.

I was wondering about this too.
I have one on the way. Very Excited to see how it differs from a fuzz face and tone bender type circuit.

yeah i really want one... the clips sound awesome on the site...

i'm holding out for a 66 or head buzz if one goes up in the D*A*M store...
but i doubt i'll be able to afford what ever the head buzz gets up to...
so we'll see... but a drag'n'fly will end up in my collection at some point
in the not to distant future...

I just checked my delivery confirmation and my DNF pedal is here at my local post office ready to be picked up...

So, I've had a little time with the Drag'n'Fly. So far It's been a nice addition to my small collection of fuzz pedals.
The thing that I've noticed is that it has a slight gating effect with the volume knob backed off my my guitar. Is this normal?
I know that they're totally different circuits, but it doesn't have the open sound as the MJM London Fuzz (Germ.) that I used to have. Any and all help will be appreciated.

First of all check you have a fresh battery in it, I borrowed my brothers and wasn't too impressed until I put a new battery in it, after that it was a beast of a thing, no gating from what I can remember.
