New Candy Apple Red Rooster

Well... it arrived.
I just got one of the new Candy Apple Red Roosters (thanks Downstroke music). It has a black mullard OC71 inside.
This is actually my 2nd Rooster, so I just spent a couple of hours comparing this to my other Red Baron Rooster with a CV7112 transistor. My family is out of town, so I was able to crank up the Marshall 18 watt and plug in the Tele.
They are similar but different. The CV7112 seems a bit cleaner and more hi-fi with less noise. It has the led and pops every time I click it. It also seems to be a bit louder.
The new one with OC71 seems to have a bit more hair and mid range juiciness. It doesn't have an led and doesn't pop when I switch it. It also has a bit more noise, but not that noticeable, and it doesn't seem quite as loud as the other one.
They really sound great when both are switched on. I needed a dual boost for my board, but I couldn't find another booster that sounded as good as the Rooster, so I'm glad I have 2 of them now.
Sorry for the lack of pics, the only digital camera I have right now is on my phone. I still mostly use film cameras.
