Re: Good Fuzzy Sounds
Look out below! Second batch of Good Fuzzy Sounds Bad Nite Fuzz are now here! FOUR filthy STC brand KT22C germaniums in a unique hand-stampe re-purposed cold war relic enclosure.
Now with a slightly smaller output cap, so these ones are tuned a bit brighter than the last lot - here's a demo of some of the sounds from the first batch:

https://reverb.com/uk/item/47968251-goo ... anium-fuzz - £200, £10 off for DAM residents

Re: Good Fuzzy Sounds
Sneak preview of unexpected new design - I got a random batch of 5 small enclosures from the '80s - some kind of video controller, and worked out I could just fit in a 2 transistor fuzz in it - the first half of the Bad Nite circuit. I only have one so far as none of my footswitches fit, need to order more. And I'm not sure what it will called or what the graphics will be. Switch selects output caps. Raw sound! and loud! 2 x NKT213s (i bought a batch in 2010 that I've saved all this time)
will be selling these for just £100 to drum up interest

Re: Good Fuzzy Sounds
ok - these have taken longer than expected but they are effectively a second batch of the instantly sold out Bad.1 fuzz, called 2.Bad - they won't be on sale properly via Reverb and Instagram for a few days, they are £150, but PM me for an early bird DAM forum deal.
blurb:
Back by popular demand!
The 2.Bad is a super-raw, two-transistor, one-knob, minimalist germanium fuzz.
The 2.Bad is a feral fuzz-out like its sibling, the sold-out Bad.1, now with a new layout, different transistors and a pedal-board friendly enclosure. It covers a range of tones thanks to a big ol’ switch on the side!
The 2.Bad is based on a wild electronics hobby mag design from 1966. It’s voiced bright and cutting like the earliest fuzzes but a bit darker than the first batch which had 2x NKT213.
Transistors for the first few are mil-spec pulls from US civil defence dosimeters, others have OC44s, NKT218s... and you can choose from a range of knobs!
