FS: Pigeon FX - JHS Treble Boost

Post by peps1 »

Finally got round to building some Pigeon FX - JHS Treble Boosts

This is the first one off the bench, no mod cons, just stock original TI 2N4061 loaded circuit on cloned PCB.

Looking for £75 less shipping & to gauge if there is any interest in starting a list for these?

Had the boxes made in steel rather then aluminium, so they could stand up to having a foot-switch added (and can add level pot too.....not sure what people are after, so starting with stock build)

Stellar build Man! How are these tuned? Full on treble bite or nice full body with added dirt/gain or ? Really diggin the look of these.

i like pedals when you know they're on
When I saw you with that lost look on your face saying you had just saw ET, I thought "uh oh, game over" - innerflight

What? you want to know how it sounds.....what madness is this!!!! (really should send some out for people to do demo's with!)

The TI 2N4061 variant is a little more compressed the the OC71 variant iv been playing with too (as you would expect from something of the Rangemaster ilk) with the guitar volume rolled off a little you get really nice treble bite, then on full volume you get more of that tube driving dirt like a maxed RM with the gain cranked up on the amp......its got a surprising range, but all the work is on the guitar.

It almost a cliché to mention Ritchie Blackmore in the context of this pedal, and its by no means a silver bullet for the Blackmore sound......but, its a step in the right direction.

Yep if I had some cash lying around I'd snap one up.
Looks original, great price and I'm a big fan of the JHS zonk and I'm sure this would sound rad right next to it!
