Yeah, a Pro MKII is gonna be the closest out of the D*A*M catalogue, so far, to a MKI.5. Just pull back on the Attack some.
The 1966 has too much high end bite and a pretty different set-up with the biasing. The Super Bee also follows suit in that regard too. Where as MKI.5's are pretty broody and dark by nature.

So I thought the '65 was the MK 1, the '66 the MK 1.5, and the MKII the MK 2. Is that wrong?

The first and last are right but the 1966 is the Italian produced Vox Tonebender...somewhat different (especially in sound) than the Sola MK1.5

The Sola MK II is my favorite D*A*M to date, if the 1.5 is anything along those lines, oh, boy! :party:
