My new blue SB-66 has OC71/Mullard OC76 trannies. I had a grey one with the CV5416s too, they didn't sound particularly different to me.

There's a grey Bee currently for sale (at cost, no less!
) over at TGP. I was kinda hoping that there was a bit more mids because my amp can't really handle bass heavy pedals.

Here is my first D*A*M, thanks to Joe.
In the letter box yesterday so i couldn't use it with the band yet.
Just half an hour yesterday's evening in my music room, but i think it's gonna suit my needs.
A lot of volume available, really nice smooth sounding fuzz, and also lots of gain for a 2 transistors device.
One tranny is a mullard OC76, the other one is a mullard too but i can't see what number?
Would someone tell me what it is from the pictures ?

Interesting, every batch of SB-66s I've seen has had different trannies. Did the older ones vary that much?

My guess is it is a pair of OC76s
