I put a new battery in my Maggot and have been playing it all day. I've come around and really dig it now. I was recording stuff into a looper and it is excellent for getting things to sit back or jump out of the mix with just guitar pots. From gentle to scream and warm to a bit scratchy.

Thanks Iain!!

Just a thought aside: It would be super to have a price list of all models, discontinued, new, everything... by our fuzz gurus! :marx:

I bought the last one from deluxe guitars in Melbourne (the purple and black BC183 version). I love it, been researching Fuzzfaces for a year before finally laying down some cash, so happy i went with D*A*M. This has scratched all my itches. Really screams through my BF Bassman.

Laservampire was nice enough to help me with a BC183l maggot from Deluxe Guitars. Shout out to him! I had never tried a silicon fuzz face before I got it - guess what, the BC183l knocked the germaniums off the board! I was blown away. Warm and full, has a nice high end too, touch more gain than the Haskins - worked well with hum buckers and has a great low end breakup. Great volume clean up as well. I'd like to see this compared to the BC209. Plus, being on my board it is much more stability being silicon - although I have yet to see bias oddities from my Haskins due to warmth.
