Fuzz knob:

12 o clock - nice dirty crunch
2 o clock - starting to fuzz up a bit
3 o clock - gnarly thick, well defined power chords
4 o clock - sustainy, overtone laden screaming leads
5 o clock - amp exploding, artefacts a-go-go, over-biased mayhem.

Has anyone been able to compare the different transistor configurations?

I've got the RS/Phillips BC108 and was wondering if I should pounce on the BC183L version.
