Metasonix F-1 Complex Distortion

Heavily digging the range of destructive tones from this beast. From the website "The F-1 pedal uses a unique vacuum-tube pentode circuit to do something special: it simulates the extreme distortion, parasitic oscillations, and other unique sounds that come from a tube guitar amp that is being overdriven to flaming destruction."

Any other Metasonix users out there? This is my first. So far I've run guitar and Grendel Drone Commander through it. Its a bit tamer with the DC. The tone knob on guitar makes for huge differences.

I have the TM-7 and used to have the Butt Probe...


seriously insane shit.
they both just shred your sound, but I found the TM-7 was more usable, so I kept it.

Good to know. I've been eyein up some other metasonix. The ass blaster sounds like it could work out for guitar as well. I'm liking the challenge of finding "usable" settings. Especially like dialing in crazy oscillations on the sustain

With names like Butt Probe, Scrotum Smasher, and Ass Blaster it sounds like the builder is taking inspiration from South Park.

I did a little more reading into Metasonix and see there was a tube amp they used to (or still?) build called the Fucking Fucker. The price tag is a fucking fucker though, $4,500 USD I watched a couple of YouTube clips and I think it would be a challenge to find an application for it. It looks cool but I could not stomach the price tag.
