Wooden MK1 soundclips

Post by supro48 »

JMI finally posted some soundclips of the woodie mk1 over at there forum. I wish they wouldn't use a little slapback delay on the clip though. I didn't post a link cause I dont want to overstep my boundries. cheers

Hmmm, not sure what to think.

Clips need to be longer, different picks etc.

sounds pretty good, but that slap back is unnecessary. Would like to hear it dry really.

yes, i only have my a couple of D*A*M MKI's to judge by but my initial impression is similar but leaning towards critical. hard to really say but it doesn't sound as cutting and sharp as i thought it would.

Yeah, it sounds muddier than I expect from a MK1, but I can't tell which pickup they're using or if they have the amp setup kinda dark. The slapback almost sounds just like room sound rather than added on reverb, though the mic is right up on the amp. Sounds like they did a pretty good job though.

yeah at first I thought it might be a microphone delay but yeah, the mic is up close to the grill so unless there's a second ambient mic setup at the back of the room, I think they must've added some delay. OR... it could be the recorded sound from the video camera that is bleeding through and causing latency.
Anyway, I was also suprised at how wooley it sounded. Doesn't seem very crisp and ratty.

They've got demos of most of the range now. Supa Fuzz sounds killer!
