The big thing for me was pickups - Henry didn't get on with ANY bridge 'bucker I tried, but with a P90 in the neck, and a big whack of treble dialled into the amp, it was superfuzz heaven!! In my head a Tele/strat with low output single coils would be the shit.

I've noticed he gets on better with my P90 axe, having that one tuned to E really helps bring out the snarl too,not as compressed and choked up as with the LP in C(still like him just fine with the main axe though)....oh yeah, single coils would be sexy as hell....

that's odd cos i really like it with neck humbucker tuned to B. It holds the low end really well.

A caveat here might be that I've only played the p90 axe with henry at home through my lil 1x12 BH5 at pretty moderate levels,so of course a downtuned guitar is gonna sound a little squashed. This wouldn't be the case with more headroom and speakers.
