Yeah it loves the TELE! It's got that perfect intense fuzz/crunch tone.

Finally had a chance to play my El Diablo tonight at practice and it really rips. I used it with my strat equipped with Fralin Real 54's and it sounded amazing. I had the level about 2-3 o'clock and the attack about 3/4 way up. I played my volume around 6-7 for a clean, albeit with some nice hair, and rolled it up for leads. I cut through like crazy. I found it works great for leads or some chunky rhythm. This is way more versatile than I imagined. I have been having trouble getting my low E, and D fills to cut through but with this on, problem fucking solved. I want to run it side my side with my Sola MK II now and see how they compare. :crackjam:

Can anyone one of ye experts here tell me the main difference in sonics between the El Diablo and the MK1.5 Copperhead? Isn't the El Diablo a MK1.5 (as well as a VOX tonebender) variant too right?
Obviously it has a slightly different transistor set-up, but just wondering.

Anyway, from what I've heard/read the El Diablo seems to be right up my street. More rasp, edge and break-up, but more (rasp) or less then a MK1.5 Copperhead?

thanks,
Allan

Having spent time with this thing i'd say it's my fav D*A*M made pedal. It sounds old, but the gain, mid range, tone, feel and chewyness is ace as fuck! The colour looks shit hot in person too. :tu:

Your sound clips with the Diablo are inspired, Philip! I keep replaying them. I like how you mix two different guitars playing different Diablo tones. Great job!

I agree with Philip, this pedal is bad ass. I used it for my last set of shows and it solved a lot of problems for me.

After having owned this pedal for 6 months now, i can't praise it enough and play it pretty much every day. Try and get one if you can!
