and I hope im not teasing too much if I say wheels are turning - Ive been talking to guys who bend metal and paint metal for a living - and they all think Im totally nuts - I must have looked at 50 different ways to put gold hammerite onto a sheet of metal - still not happy !!!!

But getting there

hammerite gold in a spray can is the closest thing i could find... anything powder coat doesn't look good at all IMO...

Any news? Has the fairy dust settled yet?

Is this going to be the look of the Tone Bender MKI Proto of what's to come?

Old school punched feet


The top plate is aluminium and the base is steel. The aluminium fixing holes will strip fast if way over
tightened. They are structurally sound and perfectly fine for stomping on but fuck with the screws to
heavily and it's Jimmy Page white tape time buzz for you.


Solid steel and with screw bushings used throughout, so no fear of stripping threads here.
Battery access is through a hatch in the bottom via two screws, just like the originals.
Rubber feet are also held in place by screws/screw bushings.
