Good times, sober even! First impressions: if the BUM has a deep woof, the Colorsound has a mean snarl. Both will accompany me to my next jam, the BUM is already a well known quantity in a mix, works fantastic. Fills in the room like shoving 400 marshmallows into a 4 ounce jar. I expect the Colorsound to have a bit more cut without losing any of the MASSIVE booty. Sober times, good even! :smashed:

Looks cool! I was expecting a scaled-down enclosure (as per the Captain's "miniaturised" comment) but it looks like it's using the same boxes as the other Colorsound fuzzes.

So! I've had this here thingy for a spell, and it has taken me a little while to dial it in. I'm normally pretty good about such things, I can find the "sweet spot" relatively quickly at home, then perhaps a slight tweak at rehearsal is all I need. But the COLORSOUND BASS FUZZ has been a bit of an enigma for me! Several jams in, and I just wasn't gelling with it. I knew the tones were there, just not sure where they were hidden. Now, I was using one of my SVT heads, but through a smaller cabinet than usual (2x8" / 1x15"). My other fuzzes played just fine through the setup, but this new toy just wasn't quite sounding right.

All become revealed when I got my big rig into the mix, as shown. I was determined to keep spinning the knobs until I found what it could really do, turns out all that was missing was a BIG FUCKIN' CAB. Now, I can get huge thick slabs of feedback or some biting bits of anger, and many places betwixt both realms. In all my years of fuzzin' bass, never have I witnessed a pedal that was extremely picky with the cabinet it required. My other Jumbo Type Thang (Cheapo BUM) plays just fine in a variety of rigs, including that small cab as mentioned above. But this one likes it big. So do I, so I'm glad I found out the fun way.

Now it's all love. Big ol' bassy fuzzy love. :cthulhu2:
