Gave it a play last night with the 2013 EE and the 2017 Loony Two and there's a lot of variation between the three:

2013 - very gainy, all of the attack variation is below 9 o clock, great artifacts and mk1 fizz, scooped mids, SO LOUD.

2017 - least gain of all three, cutting mids but slightly wooly bass, more refined sound with less artifacts, whole attack knob is useful, least mk1 fizz. A polite Mk1!

2019 - medium gain, sounds identical to 2013 when attack is dimed, but lower attack settings are a lot more transparent, like your dry tone is mixed with mk1 (think New York City Blues by the Yardbirds). Whole attack knob is useful. Gates like crazy at low settings when it's warm (synth tones from neck pickup!). Crackles and mk1 fizz fully evident but super musical, and cause notes to morph into harmonics on occasion.

Wow! Thank you for the review, Ben! It certainly sounds like an MKI worth looking into. Time to start selling some pedals. :smashed:
