This is the second Meathead I've got with this 2N3904 and BC182L circuit setup inside and I have to say there is something going on with this particular setup that makes them sound massive. They've got the mid focus of the earlier versions, but also have a huge beefy bottom to sit on.
Absolute favourite Meathead setup I've tried.

^^ Is that from 2007? I had a white with purple text Meathead from I think 2006/7 that was just so good.

Lots of mids like you say but plenty low end too. It was my first D*A*M and was quickly followed by a Hammerite Titan. I still love the Titan > Meat combo :crackjam:

Cool, I think it was the hammer grey ones that got me interested in the Meathead in the first place.

Mine was a 2007 after all so maybe sImilar sound wise. Crappy pics though..

Yeah, I've heard those 'Plum Puddin' Meatheads are great also. The old Meatheads were very nicely balanced.
