^that looks killer! How's the sound? I know there's a bunch of Bubble Font fans here but I haven't had much luck with them myself.. the best I've tried though was a black Russian with the ITC font

Sounds great. Really smooth, with a nice crisp top end and huge warm bass. I dig it!

I had a chance to really run that Double D from Tym and put it through the paces. I really dig it. I could get everything from a full on sear to big bottom tones. It is really a nice Muff build. Highly recommended.

The Double D is so nicely balanced, I really love it also. This one came in recently, lotta gain and big creamy mids but still very articulate/clear sounding...another fantastic TYM build.1bottlerocket wrote:I had a chance to really run that Double D from Tym and put it through the paces. My first Tym, great sounding Muff, heavy and plenty of gain

Looks good with that guitar Iain. I didn't think the Red Mud had as much gain as the Civil Mud when I a/b'd them. It seemed smoother to me. The Civil could get grittier I guess. Hell I'm rubbish at describing these things. They both sound good

The Red Mud is a great choice, heavier and bassier than the tri or Ramhead , but not as mental bass wise as the Russian Red Mud......same name is confusing lol. This Red Mud uses the same Russian trannies as the OG red army overdrive.
I've still to try the Tym Civil War....

You'll love the Tym Civil War. It is the closest one I have heard to an original. I haven't tried a D*A*M version yet, but the Tym reigns supreme right now in the CW department.

Re: Favourite Muffs
We need to balance out this MkI fever with some Muff talk.... I just landed this KILLER Ace Tone FM-3! Filthy feral Muff tones in the best possible way! Almost reminds of the FY-6 circuit in the scooped setting at times. Anyone else landed a new fav lately?
