Not a huge difference sound wise though, I think off it like the Marshall ones are clones or copies of the Sola ones, they tried to nail the sound but do it in a way that was cheaper to produce therefore could make a higher volume of pedals, would that be correct?

Not much different circuit wise. Like the short board MKIIs and some of the OC81D units it doesn't have the cap between input and ground. Instead of 5µF electrolytics they used 10µF, but that shouldn't make any audible difference.
