that looks to have the real deal 2G381's!!! what gives?
Are they the rebranded 2g382 or true 2g381? The "G" looks skinny to me.

The 2G's in my jerms look like this, bit blurry but best I could get, the writing is mostly underneath, had to bend the legs a bit. Just hope I've not broke it lol. This one is number 25 from the original run.

Are there any practical differences between OG 2g381, 2g381a, and 2g382? I think my Jerms has the 1a ones.

Those are real 2G381's. Came from this batch of transistors.

Below is a 2G381 salvaged from an early 60's radio.

here are 3 different prints, the ones with the smaller blacker print are the 2G382 reprints (you can see the ghost of the original print there)..... looks like the 2G381A's were made a year before the ones with the large G... probably 63.... it's hard to say what were in the OG MKI's as on mine at least, the markings are sanded off.... the 2G381A's i've hade are tighter and higher hfe groupings than the 2G381's... the 2G382's are also in a higher hfe range also, but not as tight a grouping.... i really don't hear much difference between the different markings if you have the same hfe .....
