Oooh, nice. Didn't know you had these intimate details of Joe's MK1.5. Curious that this unit has a 100k level pot (because the other funky early Impex example has a 250k). It was already tricky-enough putting Joe's into sequence because of how it's painted so I wonder, maybe, whether the funky early Impexbenders were built by someone else, alongside the OC75 units. One of many mysteries!

Do you think “if” those quirky impex ones were being built by say... a friend of the family or another family member that they also built all the mk1.5s and MK2’s with the impex transistors?
Maybe aunt carol was given a stash of impex to build some boards cos they couldn’t get any 75’s that day at the local Tv spares shop and once that stash ran out It served a purpose? Like it was just filling a gap until they used OC75’s again?
Are we also thinking that the boards were made up at different places but maybe housed say... at the shop ready for purchase?
