Maestro FZ-1A demo

Here is one demo of my Maestro FZ-1A
The usual home (phone) demo, with 1w small Marshall, but the interesting thing is that I lent the pedal to a friend. A friend brought the pedal back and said he had repaired it, and replaced some electrical parts because it was relatively worn. What the hell, the original vintage pedal lost all its value, thought  t!!
But after playing, it turned out that the sound was very cool!
Lots of more low end and much more user-friendly overall

Wow, really!!!?

I wonder if he's related to the guy that painted over Jimmy Page's tele in the 70's?

Man, I hope he gave you the original parts back, used period correct replacements, and followed the schematic...

OG Parts included, he swapped a couple of capacitors and put a mini toggle inside that switches between bassier and original sound.
The guy has actually built different fuzz clones and knows the stuff. Just don't know much about original parts and prices. Apparently the capacitors were dead, because even with newer parts, the sound is much better than before and the "bass mode" is something new in my opinion.
And the good thing is that there is no more scramble to buy the FZ-1, which is a bigger savings than the FZ-1A loss

kind of reminds me of my old (first) FZ1A that Creepy Brad added a Creepy Switch to, mini toggle switching between 2 (or was it 3?) different capacitor values doing a similar thing - stock sound and fatter sound.

YAPIM :hihi:

(yet another pedal i miss)

Yes, little brown fuzz machine never sounded better. Actually same like old amps needs some cap replace for sound fresh?
