Anyone any clue on what those mods could be?
Maybe some sort of boost at the front for more gain/sustain?

He wired his Tele like a modern one then? (Post 1967) (Front switch position is neck pickup with tone and volume, middle position is both pickups with tone and volume, and back position is bridge with tone and volume)

Like the MKII mod that was performed on so many MK1.5s?
Everything is transitional.

Ahh of course. Sorry long day.

So presumably Jimmy was responsible for the MKII?

That's perhaps just a tad presumptuous

Ha! Fair enough. So we’re closer in knowing though that according to your site Nick that Jimmy’s words here are inferring that his MK2 probably was a OC75 or impex variant?

Sola Sound apparently only started using OC81D's by approximately early-1968 (because late-Impex Supas exist with 457 pot codes), and because Page's pedals all have chickenhead knobs, they were most likely built around 1965-66 (depending on what sort of circuits are inside).

If the MK1.5's were being upgraded by Gary himself, then that sure is a possibility (but that doesn't necessarily mean that Page was the instigator of that or w/e), but this text is way too vague to draw any conclusions from. Maybe it's even referring to the rebuilding of a MKI into a junky MK1.5 case :teeth2:
