You and me both !
I had to sell my "recreational vehicle" (1968 Camaro SS) a couple years back when I moved to Austin...I miss it. If I get the funds, my next project will probably be a 50's pickup or a full on Rat Rod.
As far as classic sleds, I dig these :
1960 Impala. Sweetness personified.
This 59 Bonneville isn't "too bad" either :

Thats a KILLER looking flake you painted ! Good depth to it. Flakes are a bitch to do right.
===============================================================
For those wanting to attempt metal flake...which is not easy...dig around on http://www.tdpri.com ...there are a couple good threads that go in depth about applying metal flake.
Or maybe...just maybe...Minty will give out some "tips".

My Ex GF had a 64 Riv...sweet car.
We would occasionally take out my 68 Camaro and her Riv at the same time...rolling car show.

Great stuff!
One of my dream cars when I was a little kid was a '67 Impala SS in a cool candy apple red/tangerine sparkle colour with a gold sparkle undercoat (duh).
How I wish I had one of those!

Sparkle paint makes me think of three things: old cars, fishing boats, and diner booths/chairs.
...oh, and old Kustom tuck-n-roll amps.
