Post by modeerf »

i was just looking around for some of these, there really isnt much info around. Do any of you guys have one, or know anything about them. seems really cool in a crappy way. I'd love to see some demo's of some, or even pics.

Thoughts/feelings on this phenomon?

First ones that spring to mind are the Voxes. There are probably demos on youtube.

I used to own a Vox Astro bass (violin shaped) that had the built in fuzz. Very very cool feature.

I believe Kay built a Les Paul shaped guitar with built-in fuzz & flange. I think someone on the forum even owns one but I can't remember who.

The vox fuzz is a silicon fuzz-face like circuit with the fuzz knob always on 10. I have one from a gutted guitar that I have box up.

I'm gonna build a box with the fuzz and trem together. Love that sound...

The trem sound is cool. I really liked it when he used it with the palm wah.

Spacemen 3 used the Vox guitars and all the effects to great effect. The tremolo is the repeat-percussion that they sold separately, I wonder if the plug in distortion was the same too.
