Thrown to the Dogs. Eat some Grease.

Farewell Monsieur Grease. It's been good knowing you.

Love it. Hate it. It is what it is. Selling off the last dregs of the GB-83 on evilBay, think we have something like 15 or so left. Once they are gone it's game over for the 83.

Once one finishes I'll crack open another box, take pics, throw it up there, they end how they end. I'd rather have these being used than sat eating dust.

They shall be here:

I guess that people didn't like them??? It seemed like a cool pedal to me, maybe the enclosure wasn't to everyone's fancy?

Copy & pasta from what I wrote on the ebays...
A very brief description of the GB-83 is that it is a glorified pre-amp, like most fuzz boxes, that is capable of varying degrees of saturation from mild overdrive to blown out fuzz. It is a very dynamic pedal and is also very gear responsive. As in, it will drive harder depending on your chosen instrument and will react differently depending on your amplifier and how it is set. We sold a bunch of these and fast then it pretty much stopped over night.
For most, silicon transistors ain't all that cool and I think for a fuzz box I took the dare I say 'transparency' thing a little too far. You can pretty much ride this thing all the way, the clean up is almost cleaner than your clean tone, which is not really what fuzz is all about. Just being honest in my thoughts. It is still one of my own favourite pedals that we have done but maybe the design I concocted was a little to personal to my own tastes. Most folk don't really want a fuzz box that will happily jam with old Celtic Frost riffs.
...or maybe it's a shite pedal :hihi:

Maybe people think that because of the name and the silicon trannies it is a "light" version of the original GB-80 and therefore not sooo good? But What do I know. I didn't get the chance to play any of them. :hmm:

Redeye is right though. Demand will most definetly increase once it's discontinued.

It's a great box once you learn to use it properly.....I wasn't keen on it through a clean setting, but into a crunchy sound it roars, kinda like a treble booster...shit clean and awesome dirty.Shame it's all over for the 83.

I like the enclosure.
Been trying to get our other guitarist to shell out for one. It's really up his alley. I'm the fuzzy noise maker.
Don't make me assume my ultimate form
