It had to be done. I am a youtube junkie and I love finding cool stuff on there, especially documentaries. Post any cool youtube vids that you come across that should be seen.

I'm sure you've all seen this one but what better way to start. I came across this on youtube without ever hearing about it and it made my night. So that's what this thread is all about.

Prince gets it. One of my favorite guitarists ever. Hell he can even figure out how to make zoom shit sound good.

Stax Revue in Norway 1967...entire show - Booker T & The MG's, Arthur Conley, Sam & Dave & Otis.
Seated audience at beginning on their feet by the end. DVD recommended :tu:

^^Awesome!

Just watched that Hawks & Hounds doc a week ago or so - not a genre I would know very much about at all but I quite enjoyed that one :tu:

Don't know how Coltrane manages to make seemingly random and chaotic note choices into such incredible music, don't know why it is so staggeringly cerebrally and emotionally profound, don't know how I can listen for a couple of hours to him and be continually amazed by his control and command of his instrument yet never get bored by his constant flow of musical ideas, do not understand at all how it all just works so well. Wish I had the musical intelligence to understand what in the hell beboppers like Coltrane and Monk are doing, but it is utterly :thud:

For full mind bending awesome crazy free jazz madness please enjoy John Coltrane Live in Seattle...at a certain point he sets down his sax and screams and moans into the mic...its pretty wild!
