I'm Mike, currently living in the middle of nowhere in Sarasota, FL. I moved down here from Chicago last year for a number of reasons, mostly because I was born and raised in the south and while I hate most of "southern" culture it appears I do have one southern trait I just can't shake... those winters were killing me! i mean, jesus christ!

So sadly I'm no longer in Chicago. But I graduated from Columbia College up there (a relatively small media arts college, not the Ivy League Columbia) and am now back home living rent-free with my folks at the age of 28. I'm a winner! :badteeth:

Ok, yeah, so being back with the folks is lame but they are awesome people and have a huge house so I barely see them. The lack of needing to pay rent has freed up a whole hell of a lot of my income (I do freelance web design mostly but am primarily a writer so I jump on every writing opportunity I get as well) so I've been, ahh, hitting the b00t33k scene pretty hard ever since my schedule and wallet allowed me to.

I actually started playing guitar relatively late compared to most people and don't have 1/10th the chops most of you guys do, but I have a good ear and am a multi-instrumentalist, I've basically been dabbling in this or that all my life, though guitar is the only one I've really committed to getting as good as I can possibly get at. I also play keys, love programming drum machines (the Elektron Machinedrum is my 2nd most used instrument besides my guitars) and have gotten into cool/weird oscillator synths and synth module type stuff. Trying not to get too sucked into that though and keep my focus on the guitar.

I'm never gonna be a shredder, or a virtuoso, so I like to consider myself an experimentalist. Yeah, I use a lot of effects but I like cooking up new and different ways to use fuzz and modulation and looping and and and and and etc etc... Love foundsound stuff, nature sounds that I warp to hell, fun stuff like that. I actually do have a solo project that will be going live very soon. Right now its just a blank webpage that directs you to a blank myspace, but soon there will be music at-

Yep, Owl's Watch. Thats me.

And D*A*M fucking rules. :metal:

You should've just stopped there :hihi:

I'm Mark, friends call me Tatter for reasons still unclear to myself (i refuse to believe my head is in fact potato-shaped). I am a 34 year old graphic designer.

I used to play in a doom metal band called Enchantment back in the early 90s, we made 1 album (Dance the Marble Naked) for Century Media which has recently been reissued on Peaceville. I am still yet to receive a penny for this but that's probably because it sold next to nothing

Anyway, i'm currently in an unsigned band called Sinister Footwear and loving every minute.

i'm looking for an open minded female 25-40, looks not too important but don't take the piss. PM me.

I know plenty of open minded ladies but they are a bit younger than 25 (but at least 16+) :hihi: See the I love bums thread for photos :tu:

Younger is OK, but they tend to have different expectations of men (ie, abundance of hair on the top of the head etc) so i'm aiming for the naughty forty end of the scale. :badlove:

Good job you mentioned that thread as i wasn't aware of it's existence at all, in fact i'd completely deleted it from my history

Some of the young ladies mothers or aunties would be in the naughty forties category :hihi: However they tend to be more shy about having photos taken on the beach

Nice Idea…

…I am Dennis, 26 Years old, in a beautiful relationship and from Hamburg, Germany! Yeah Hamburg, the city with this huge red light district, a sea in the middle of the town center and tons of other great things…
The Music Stores around here suck, so I am hanging around at several forums (under the same name) and ebay to shoot and put together as much nice gear as possible.
I am not in love with all those vintage stuff and collect mainly late 90ies to nowadays stuff!
Gear Addiction hit me hard and I own nearly 20 guitars and the 100th Pedal in my collection will be here soon…
Of course I have a band where I try to use all my stuff, we are playing a lot of gigs (50+ shows a year) and you should be able to get your latest CD “White Fuzz” in your local record store or amazon. Check the Myspace link in my signature for more info…
+350 pedal demos from hell

I'm Kris, living in Suffolk just near Norwich. I like to think I'm better at guitar than I actually am which is why I only want the best pedals. I'm hooked on D*A*M, and currently looking to try as many as I can. So far I've tried the 66, Meathead Deluxe, Sonic Titan and Drag'n'Fly (although just won a standard Meathead on ebay). I have a sweet spot for the Drag'n'Fly. I live with my awesome girlfriend and our 2 kittens, and am training to be a chartered accountant by day. I run an SG into a Tweed Blues Junior, with a fuzz (usually the Drag'n'Fly) providing some grit. I'm into Deep/Garage blues. The Black Keys are it for me, I play their tunes and, to be honest, everything I write seems to be strongly influenced by them. Free are a close second. I don't currently have a band, which is why I spend too much time on the Internet. I do have a gig in an irregular wedding band. I love music, films and hanging out with friends. I respect good people, and I have found this place to full of them.

My name is Bregt, 24 next month. I live in Brussels, Belgium. I have a degree in audio-engineering but don't use that at all (no talent!) so started out with law school a few years ago. I'm half way through it. I dream about a very international job, preferably in diplomacy, embassies, NGO's, the UN, ... and will be specialising in international and European law.
I used to be in a couple of bands (last one: http://www.myspace.com/pearllakes) but we quit & I sold most of my gear. I got into this stuff because I bought The Captain's Green GT120 and then sort of sticked around. Have owned 2 Meatheads, a Fleshhead, a Meathead Deluxe and now have a Red Baron Meathead on the way to join my Sonic Titan. I use what's left of my pedal collection with the last of my amps, an '81 Vibrochamp that I preferred over a '74. I do some DIY-ing too, mostly for people I know but again no talent - just some sub-par clones.
I'm interested in international politics, but because law school is so fucking wearing me out, I find myself losing an awful lot of time doing stupid stuff on the internet. I'm co-admin & co-'owner' of a Belgian gearforum that just started out a few months ago after being a moderator/admin on the largest Belgian gearforum for years. I promised myself I would spend less time behind my computer and thanks to my wonderful girlfriend, I kind of do every once in a while :co: What I like about this place is the total lack of coherence in some topics, that can then turn to an extremely focused discussion. I like the versatility of most posters and the vast differences between members. I enjoy the different insights from around the world and have a feeling that, i.e. in general topics, the average member here is more open-minded and critical about their world and environment than average-Joe.
