Love the Gibson amps. Seems they’re picking up in price too.

I love my ‘59 GA 18 explorer. Were you referring to their tweed model? The GA40s would be much more expensive I believe. Good luck getting those. I think there’s one on ebay right now. Amazing tone!!! There’s an amazing les Paul GA40 on eBay right now. Amazing condition!

Late 50s version for sho. my book it says the explorer came in 12” and 10” speaker configurations between 59 and 60 but I’ve only seen the 10” from both years. Either tweed or blonde tolex looks great to me.
I love the tremolo on that amp. Beautiful.
I’ve got too many amps and at present very little money ha.
The GA40 will have to be on the wish list but I’d love to grab a explorer over the next 12 months money permitting.
I’ve a lazy j here getting very little use. Maybe I might look into selling it in time and using some of the cash to put towards one.

1959 mint condition vibrolux. Sounds like it should. Breaks up nicely at around 5-6
