I was actually on Monty's website this morning looking at wiring looms etc, I did find myself checking out the pups
Ill go and have a look at their Insta
What made you check them out in the first place Sean? I know you dig their stuff

I don’t know how prevalent they are in your neck of the woods, but Seymour Duncan Antiquities are a high-quality and relatively reasonable option here. A set of ‘55s reside in my Tele!innerflight wrote: ↑Sat Jun 13, 2020 11:44 am I’m toying with the idea of upgrades. I don’t want to go nuts with new pups etc but aesthetically. Im not digging the look of the bridge and the shiny chrome

No problem.
I had originally seen their PAF’s on YouTube ( Doug and pat show ). And I was impressed.
I also bought some Tyson Tone P90 pickups due to that show and when I read the reviews I noticed people saying they were great but Montys still had the edge.
So I checked them out.
I’m good for humbuckers and like my OX4’s but after ordering my dog ear pickups from Montys I’m impressed not just with the pickup but the presentation. Like Steve at Pigdog. Always arrives looking classy.
I think if people put effort into the packaging imagine how much effort they’ve put into the thing you’ve bought.
Presentation is half way there for me.
They’re open, have great clarity and just feel good to play.
P90s will always be Montys for me I think.
Plus their page is all about helping you modify your own stuff. I’ve sent a few msgs across with good helpful replies.

I just bought a first generation late 70s Roland JC-120. 70s/80s post-punk/indie is a big thing for me, so I’m trying to acquire more of those key SS amps. I’m thinking the Tone Bender Distortion will play well with it. Kind of like Billy Duffy’s early 80s rig- JC-120 and a Boss SD-1. Though I’m leaning more towards Robert Smith with my rig.
