That is why history is so interesting. It could almost tell you an entire story of what had happened back then just by looking at its artefacts of some antique pieces. You could reminisce the old times and recollect the happenings even if they are not of your own.

Did Hendrix ever use a Big Muff then? I cannot remember if that was ever definitively answered.

Mike Matthews claimed he did!!! I think the general timeline for when the big muff was actually commercially available would indicate that hendrix did not use one. At least not for any recording. I've got a LOT of Henrdrix bootlegs and I've never personally heard any tone that closely resembles a big muff...that's my take on it anyways

i think hendrix used this pedal at miami pop festival in may 1968. the week or so before he was at the record plant in nyc and probably got it from mike matthews
