I missed it altogether, but I wouldn't have been anywhere near 2k. Still, it's a pretty rare amp - I've only seen six or seven in the last ten years.daCod wrote:i was watching that one Stu. were you bidding? had thought about contacting to see about shipping but then it went from attainable to divorce/living-in-a-van-down-by-the-river

Wow that's a really good price!
Saw a Vox mk3 go for £350 a few weeks ago.. Madness!

Re: EBAY the things i did not buy
It was the same as what Iain sold a month or so ago.
I can't remember the guts so I could be mistaken but in sure it was all original black box, orange writing MK3 with germanium trannys.
I've also seen other musical equipment fetching half the price on eBay at the moment.
1963 alnico blue with original speaker went for £140.
Wish I'd bid!

This is the only one I can find: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/vox-tone-bend ... 7675.l2557
If there was a germanium one I must have missed it. Ebay won't let me find certain auctions from the UK.
But yeah, there are always good deals to be had. Today someone scored a Framus Growler for $269. Quite a bargain.
