well, we had a thread for this already viewtopic.php?f=8&t=10932 but I guess the next time someone gets outbid on Sho-bud volume pedals or gets frustrated by Dunlop fuzz faces they can still post here.

Not eBay...but. I went to thunder road guitars in west Seattle today. And they had the cleanest '58 tweed Princeton I've ever seen. Like time machine clean. I asked the price knowing it was going to be high and was told $2800, but we just sold it to Joe Bonamassa. Fucker. I'm sure he has like 8 of those already.

craigslist- found a vox top logo king wah. $150 obo , but out of state from me. beat up and missing logo, battery snap broken so untested. otherwise looks original and cool.
so i email the guy and he agrees to ship it to me. comes up with the price of $180 shipped. i paypal him an extra $5 to cover fees. anyway he’s right on top of it and i get a tracking number a couple hours later.

wake up the next day to a refund and an email. he got suspicious because i paid extra so he looks on ebay and now thinks his wah is worth $900. he got the box back and says he will restore it and sell it “months from now”.
oh well

Ahh the one that got away. It is tricky when dealing with something valuable, you can err by NOT telling the seller it has value, you can also err by telling them.

It is unusual to find anyone in this day and age who hasnt figured out what their item is worth.
