What gears on the cards for 2019

Post by Doc Holliday »

So.... out with the old and in with new etc etc
What’s people jonsing for in the new year?!

Personally I’ve got a lot of saving and DIY next year as we’re hoping to move house 2020.

Still... wouldn’t mind a Gibson amp or 2 to add to the collection :marx:

Got the fuzzy Haskins in the works too so early new year that should kick it off nicely

I've tailed off on the pedal buying. I'm looking to start building my own which I meant to get into this year but ran out of time due to the new house. Need another amp or two since I haven't bought any in a while.

I’m looking at paring down, getting a Maton messiah acoustic and focusing on my playing.
I do have an amp incoming that my bud James @lanceamplification has built for me. Essentially a 5f1 champ in a tweed deluxe cab and a 12 speaker. Othet than that. No more!!
Ps looking forward to giving my son the 62 RI strat we picked up last weekend for him for Xmas 🤓

Doing a 60s style tele build once the body's done
Fretwork on a couple of old dogs
Bits of amp/speaker repair
Might finally get a nice shortscale bass!

I dont know what's coming up, but I know that i'm getting the itch. I pared down a bunch of gear this year before I moved apartments, and now i've got that feeling like i'm about to pare back up. Can you do that? Got leads on a Univox Lucy...kinda feeling a synth...kinda feeling like a cool combo build....i have no clue...

Yeah I had to sell a bunch of stuff a few years back for a deposit and moving fees.
Moved into a smaller place so I could afford a little more but I lost my recording/jam space. I'm now in the mindset I need a bigger home to get jamming properly again and recording.
Hoping I won't have to let to much go this time round to fund the move
