From wikipedia...

"The album was recorded in September and October 1968 at Olympic Studios, London, shortly after the band's formation. The sessions took place before the group had secured a recording contract and were paid for directly, and took 36 hours and less than £2,000 to complete."

I quite like communication breakdown!
I was 16 when I first heard it and it reminded me of the same sort of vibe of “my generation by the who”.
Less than 3 minutes, great for radio play, great driving pop song.
